Spring Home Design Trends 2025
The start of spring inspires us to take a deep breath and begin anew. Maybe that’s familiarizing yourself with the home building process so you can make your dream home a reality. Or maybe it’s something smaller, like breathing new life into the spaces we already have. If you’ve got some areas of the home that could use some TLC, there are plenty of trends to inspire you.
Get Creative with Interior Color Schemes

“As the weather warms up, trends for spring decorating are all about color. We will be seeing more bright, colorful patterns and large florals in fabrics and wallpaper, as well as bed and table linens. More dark and bold paint colors on walls.”
“On the other color end of the spectrum, we will be seeing the use of more natural colors and materials like clay, terra cotta and earthenware used in all rooms, kitchenware, vases, lamps, and more. This trend will bring a warmer and more earthy color palette to the home.”
Update Your Kitchen Design

“This year, we’re seeing a movement toward creative, colorful kitchens. We can’t say for sure that the era of the all-white kitchen is over, but we are seeing an increased demand for something a little special. Lots of blues and greens — even soft, sophisticated pinks! The other major modern kitchen trend is leaning into concealed appliances. As kitchens become as much a central hangout and entertainment center as they are a space to cook in, hiding what makes a kitchen a kitchen becomes increasingly popular.”
Use Natural Greenery as Accents

“I expect we’ll be seeing a lot more natural, homegrown greenery as accents this spring. Cherry branches just beginning to blossom soon, then lilacs and more spring flowers. And cut greenery is always an option! I bet we’ll see more of these instead of store-bought fancy bouquets. Also expecting to see lots of greens in general – soft sage green wainscoting or paneling, walls, painted furniture … perfect for spring, or any time!”
Inspirational and Comforting Bedroom Design

“If you’re finding yourself in need of a relaxing distraction, here are the trends you can look to for inspiration and comfort this season: Biophilic design, canopy beds, geometric patterns, and green accents.”
“Biophilic design reduces stress while improving mood, cognitive function, and creativity. No wonder it’s trending! But green accents aren’t just appearing in the form of plants; they’re in furniture pieces, as well. Since green is one of the most calming colors, it’s a great color to have in any room. It can help your space feel more grounded and bring a sense of home.”
“Canopy beds are decorative and add an extra level of visual interest, and geometric patterns always seem to find their way back into the trends list since symmetry is intrinsically beautiful.”
Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle What You Have

“Because we’re home more right now, we have the opportunity to look around at our home’s interior and see what we like, what we don’t like, and what we want to change. Look for decor pieces that can be reduced or removed from your environment; box them up for donation.”
“You may also find there are ways you can reuse some of your decor for home storage or other purposes elsewhere in your home. For example, you can recycle or upcycle an old picnic basket by painting it and using it to store party supplies in your kitchen. Turn food jars into pencil holders and more! Use what you have and get crafty to update your home.”
Don’t Shy Away from Unique Furniture Design

“Designs, furniture, and decor that stand the test of time are looking to move to the forefront as people seek comfort — and to shape their homes into a whole-picture refuge. As such, seeking items and pieces that are more unique, unusual, and less cookie-cutter will become more popular.”
Make Use of Natural Elements

“A welcomed design trend is changing from stark whites to a warmer paint palette of soft creams and taupe mixed with natural elements. It is easy to bring in the natural elements into any room by using items such as plants, dried floral, branches as art, and fabrics with nature design. Add pops of spring color with floral pillows and nature-inspired wall art.”
