Building Hope and Strengthening Communities Through Affordable Housing and Outreach
Empowering Families with Habitat for Humanity
In 2025, builders rallied together to support families in need through partnerships with Habitat for Humanity.
During the annual Home Builders Blitz, six homes were constructed in just five days for families struggling
with inadequate living conditions. One recipient, Yosmarily, a wheelchair-bound mother, had previously lived
in a cramped, inaccessible one-bedroom apartment with her husband and young daughter. Her new home in
Silver Pines Pointe (Orlando, FL) now accommodates her mobility needs and offers her family stability.
The community of Silver Pines Pointe, developed by Habitat Orlando & Osceola, will eventually include
58 energy-efficient, green-certified homes. Each features modern appliances, landscaped yards, and up to
four bedrooms. Collaborating builders donated materials and labor to ensure these families could achieve
affordable homeownership.
Addressing Food Insecurity with HomeAid Orlando
Earlier this year, a partnership with HomeAid Orlando supported a critical food drive benefiting
One Heart Women and Children, a nonprofit aiding thousands of families monthly. With pandemic-related
job losses escalating demand, the initiative raised $20,000 in food and cash donations to help
address a surge in requests—from 3,000 to 20,000 individuals in just 30 days.
Builders and community organizations united to amplify this effort, demonstrating the power of collaboration
during challenging times. Their contributions provided essential resources to families facing food insecurity
and housing instability.
A Collective Commitment to Change
These initiatives highlight how partnerships between builders, nonprofits, and volunteers can transform lives.
By focusing on affordable housing and essential services, communities can foster long-term stability and hope
for those in need.
